The Social Administration's administrative management is looking for a committed colleague to lead the social care department and the administration's staff of development managers. About the role: As Head of Department, you will: - Lead and develop the department for social care, which implements decisions within LSS and the Social Services Act for people with functional variations or mental illness. - Be responsible for homes with special services, personal assistance, daily activities and other interventions under LSS. - Lead a staff of quality strategists and process managers who drive development work within the administration. - You have your ear to the ground and knowledge of ongoing legislative changes. - You have personnel responsibility for 9 heads of unit within the social care department. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As Head of Department, you are expected to lead and develop the business towards set goals with responsibility for finance, staff, work environment and operational quality. Your tasks: - Lead and develop the business towards set goals with responsibility for finances, staff, work environment and business quality. - Be responsible for the allocation, supervision and follow-up of individual areas of responsibility within the staff. - Be part of the administration's management team and report directly to the Head of Social Services. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has in-depth knowledge and interest in the activities relevant to the assignment, and is well versed in current legislation. You have a good understanding of the conditions that govern public activities and have experience in social work. In this role, you will have many contacts, which requires you to highly value good cooperation. You are results-oriented, have strong communication skills and are a good role model as a leader through clear and committed leadership. You have the ability to see opportunities and solutions from a holistic perspective. We attach great importance to personal suitability. You will have - Experience in managing and developing an organization and responsibility for staff, finances and operations. - Relevant academic education and preferably experience of leading through managers. - Good experience of development and change work. - Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You are: - Well versed in current legislation and have a good understanding of the conditions in the public sector. - A confident and engaging leader with the ability to develop groups and promote good cooperation.
