WORK TASKS Kiruna City Library is in an exciting phase due to the urban transformation and new premises in the Aurora cultural center, centrally located in the new city center. If you want to be part of creating Kiruna's future library operations, this is the position for you! The city library has extensive activities aimed at children and young people in their free time. You will be part of a team consisting of a children's and youth librarian, a children's and youth program manager, a school librarian and a school library administrator. You will be responsible for children and young people's activities with a particular focus on stock and reading promotion. Scheduled external service at the information desk is included and there you serve and meet visitors of all ages. Evening and weekend duties are included according to schedule. QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will have a degree in Library and Information Science. Previous experience of working with children and young people would be an advantage. You will need to have a good knowledge of literature, especially children's and young people's literature, and be comfortable using digital tools. You also need to be able to speak in front of large and small groups and have a good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. As a person, you are creative, structured and have good collaboration skills. You take initiative and have the ability to work independently. To thrive in the role, you should enjoy working with children and young people and be able to independently plan and implement activities for and with the target group. You are able to organize your work, reflect and follow up on activities to improve the service to library users. You like new experiences and challenges. Driving license B is a requirement.
