JOB DUTIES The position is based at Högalid School (grades 4–9). You will provide academic and career guidance to students at Högalid School and collaborate with other academic and career counselors in the municipality. The position also involves creating, developing, and implementing municipality-wide procedures, support materials, and methods for academic and career guidance across all grades in Kiruna Municipality’s elementary and middle schools. The work is carried out in collaboration with relevant staff within the elementary school system and in dialogue with other academic and career counselors. The role involves developing and providing information, as well as supporting other staff in their academic and career counseling work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in educational and career guidance and experience working as an educational and career guidance counselor. You have a good understanding of the Swedish education system and the labor market, as well as experience with assessment-related tasks, preferably within elementary school. You are independent, proactive, and goal-oriented. You can express yourself well both verbally and in writing in Swedish, and you are a good team player.
