Then you now have the chance to take on the role of Deputy Head of Department at the IT Department, Kiruna Municipality.
The IT department within Kiruna municipality is a service organization with the task of ensuring the operation and development of the municipality's IT solutions, as well as communication operator towards the city network "Gironet". Organizationally, the department is divided into three units: IT Operations, IT Infrastructure and Project & Development.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As Deputy Head of Department, you will have a key role in driving change and development within the IT organization. You will work closely with the business and our customers to ensure that we remain an attractive workplace and continue to develop.
You will develop and implement strategies and business plans to strengthen the organization. You will play an important role in developing your colleagues and the work culture as a whole. You have budgetary responsibility, as well as personnel responsibility for 15 employees in IT operations and IT infrastructure.
The role of Deputy Head of Department includes, but is not limited to:
- Personnel responsibilities
- Driving the development of culture, leadership and people
- Attracting, developing and retaining staff
- Work environment responsibility, together with the Head of Department drive SAM for the whole IT department
- Budgetary responsibility
- Drive change and development of the organization
- Ensure that the organization meets today's and tomorrow's requirements
- Developing structure and working methods
- Drive the development of the organization's work processes
- Support and act as a sounding board in work with agreements, procurements and letters
- Overall responsibility for developing cooperation with suppliers
You report to the Head of IT and are part of the IT department's management team. You will work closely with the rest of the management team and your 15 colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you with several years of managerial and leadership experience, with experience of having budgetary responsibility and working in a management team. You have a post-secondary education in engineering and/or management or experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
You will have a general understanding of the workings of an IT department but do not need to be an IT expert. The focus of the position is on developing the organization, processes and people. You thrive in a role where change and development work is a central part. Your passion lies in performance management, leadership and cultural development.
As a person, you are unpretentious, responsive and build trust with both staff and management. Your strong commitment to relationship building and collaborative working enables you to create effective teams and a good working environment. The role involves both operational and strategic challenges and you have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new things, see connections and create a whole.
Fluency in spoken and written Swedish, English is an advantage.
