Kiruna municipality has a total of 12 primary schools, geographically spread across the municipality. The task of primary schools is to provide pupils with knowledge and values and to develop their ability to acquire them. We prepare our pupils for active life choices in the future. Abisko school is a 1-9 school, where preschool and after-school care are located in the same building. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an assistant principal, you have full operational and personnel responsibility. Under the leadership of the principal, you will create the conditions for educational quality and for a good and healthy working environment. The position requires that you are on site in Abisko. There is the possibility of help with housing in Abisko if needed.
In the role of deputy principal, you represent the employer and are a good role model. You communicate our core values, Respect, Responsibility and Cooperation in Kiruna municipality. Your leadership is relationship-building and you have confidence in your employees' commitment and willingness to take responsibility. You utilize and develop your employees' skills and make your employees feel involved and committed.
The assignment is full-time but this is a shared position. This means that you will work half-time as an assistant principal and the remaining time as a preschool teacher or teacher. You will also support in several areas, such as administration. The assignments may vary over time. Kiruna municipality applies managerial appointments, which means that you will have a permanent position as a preschool teacher or teacher basically with an appointment as an assistant principal of 50%.

QUALIFICATIONS.
We are looking for a leader who can support and guide employees and who can anchor the goals and visions of the business. You create security, job satisfaction and participation for your employees by being inspiring, communicative and having good collaboration skills. You create influence for children, pupils, staff and guardians. We see you as a person who takes initiative, is self-driven and flexible.
You are a licensed preschool teacher or teacher and it is advantageous to have previous experience of management or leadership, staff responsibility, union collaboration and work environment work.
We attach great importance to personal suitability.
