The focus of the first teacher assignment is to be a subject network leader. The aim is to create conditions for teachers to develop the quality of teaching, strengthen equivalence and increase goal achievement, as well as develop common guidelines. There are 16 subject networks in compulsory education, and we are therefore looking for 16 first teachers for the following stages and subjects: - Primary: Swedish/Swedish, Mathematics - Middle school: Swedish, math, English - Year 6-9: NO/Technology, SO - Upper secondary: Swedish, Mathematics, English - Grades 1-9: Physical education and health, textile crafts, wood and metal crafts, home and consumer science, art/music, modern languages We look forward to hearing from you! DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to teaching and other customary teaching duties, the following are included in the first teacher's duties: - Developing and monitoring relevant research in the subject area and presenting it to the subject network. - Leading network meetings where teachers exchange knowledge and experiences, take part in research and together develop new ideas and methods to try out in teaching. - Lead peer discussions on subject development from curriculum to assessment and grading. - Lead peer learning on equivalence of assessment. Although many tasks may be local to one or more units, the lead teacher is a municipality-wide resource in a learning organization, where collaboration and knowledge dissemination are central. Together with the principal and the group of first teachers, the content of the assignment is planned and concretized. Prerequisites for the first teacher assignment: - The first teacher assignment is part of the job and covers an average of 2 hours per week. - If necessary, more time can be allocated, for example in connection with K/A days. - The position is full-time and follows the teacher working year (40 hrs regulated + 5 hrs non-regulated) in order for the first teacher to be available to the principal and colleagues. - At least 50% of the post should consist of teaching and teaching-related tasks. The regular allocation of posts is not reduced. - A salary supplement of SEK 5 000/month is paid for the assignment during the appointment. - The appointment is limited to 2 years, with the possibility of extension if the need remains. - If the first-year teacher changes school unit during the appointment, the appointment ceases to apply. QUALIFICATIONS A first teacher: - has a teacher's license issued by the Swedish National Agency for Education no later than the date of appointment, - can demonstrate through documentation at least four years of well-recognized work in teaching in the school system (unauthorized service, work in after-school care or part-time can also be counted), - have demonstrated a particularly strong ability to improve pupils' academic performance - have a strong interest in the development of teaching - is judged by the principal to be particularly qualified for teaching and teaching-related tasks. Merits: - Leadership training such as Leadership for the Development of Teacher Leadership (LULL) or other classroom leadership training.
