WORK DUTIES As a Food Inspector, you will work with handling and control in the food area. Together with your colleagues, you plan and carry out inspections and audits at food facilities throughout the municipality. You will also handle incoming registrations as well as investigate complaints, suspected food poisoning and provide advice and information to companies. The work includes frequent contacts with companies, citizens and the media, actors that you must be able to deal with in a professional manner. We are a relatively small environmental office, which means that you as an inspector have the opportunity to work very broadly within the supervisory areas and that we stand in for each other when necessary. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a trained environmental and health protection inspector, nutritionist or have other education that the employer deems equivalent and suitable. We would like for you to have experience of working as a food inspector or from work in the food industry. To thrive in the role, you need to have good organizational skills, be service-oriented and good at communicating. You need to be able to work both independently and in a group and have flexible thinking when it comes to work tasks. It is advantageous if you have previous experience of working within a political organization and especially within municipal administration. It is also advantageous if you have experience in government work. For the role, it is required that you express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing. We attach great importance to personal suitability. Driving license class B is a requirement.
