WORK TASKS
The tasks include carrying out supervision in accordance with the Act on Protection against Accidents (LSO) and the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods (LBE). The work includes being able to provide training both for our own organization, for municipal employees and others. You will also be responsible for providing advice and information to the public. In the emergency work, the task is to lead a rescue operation at the scene of an accident and to be able to work with management tasks in the joint rescue management system, Räddningssamverkan Nord. As a team leader, you normally follow the emergency response team's schedule, but may sometimes serve as an incident commander During your service with the emergency response team, you may also perform certain tasks as a firefighter; you must be approved as a smoke diver. As a team leader, you have supervisory duties for your shift consisting of firefighters. You will interact with other rescue services in and from Norway and Finland and have a developed cooperation with the other municipal rescue services in Räddningssamverkan Nord both in terms of preventive work and in rescue operations.
You have a far-reaching delegation and are independently responsible for your own cases/tasks, but the work also requires close cooperation with colleagues and other authorities around you. The rescue service in Kiruna municipality is under development and you will therefore have a natural part in the work of improving and developing the processes, routines and working methods in the business. In the role of force leader, you also have daily contacts with Kiruna's municipal residents, companies, other authorities and the like.

Your education is at least:
Training as a firefighter with MSB/räddningsverket or equivalent training or experience that the employer considers equivalent.
- Basic university entrance qualification
- Driving license BC a requirement
You should have a few years of experience working in the rescue service. Previous work with inspections according to LSO/LBE, training as a rescue leader at MSB/Räddningsverket and experience of work management is an advantage. We see that you have good insight into the law on protection against accidents and other laws and regulations that govern and affect the work of the rescue service. We assume that you have good computer skills in the commonly used computer programs and have easy to express yourself in speech and writing.
As the rescue service is undergoing intensive change and there are major challenges in the work of Kiruna's urban transformation, we attach great importance to you being flexible and change-prone. We also consider it positive if you have experience of working in a politically controlled organization. Knowledge of the official minority languages of Kiruna municipality, Sámi, Meänkieli and Finnish is an advantage.
Before employment begins, an aptitude test will be carried out and you must have an approved medical examination with work ECG, you must be approved as a smoke diver according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations. The position is security classified
