JOB DESCRIPTION
As head of preschools in Kiruna municipality, you have overall responsibility for managing, developing and following up preschool activities. You will report directly to the Head of School and be part of the management team for the culture and education administration. You will be the closest colleague with the Head of Comprehensive School and together you are responsible for the educational activities. The assignment involves both strategic and operational leadership with a focus on quality, legal certainty and goal achievement.
In the role you are responsible for:
- Overall responsibility for the preschool's finances, staff, work environment and quality.
- Management and development of an organization with preschools geographically spread in the municipality.
- Personnel responsibility for principals in preschool and support functions towards preschool.
- Systematic quality work with a focus on operational development and improved results together with the Head of Comprehensive School.
- Ensuring legal certainty in all processes and decisions in the preschool area.
- Implementation of long-term development processes and creation of conditions for high quality in the educational mission.
- Employer responsibility in accordance with Kiruna municipality's guidelines and values (Respect, Responsibility, Cooperation).
- Collaboration with internal and external actors such as trade unions and other administrations.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have both experience and commitment to leading and developing activities. You have the ability to take responsibility for the whole while creating participation and drive in the organization.
Requirements
- Academic education that is relevant to the assignment.
- You have solid knowledge and experience of preschool activities.
- Experience of managing and developing an organization with responsibility for staff, finances and results.
- Good knowledge of legislation and policy documents in the field of preschool education.
- Ability to lead both strategically and operationally in a politically governed organization.
