Are you the one? For a vibrant Kiruna.
One thing is certain: with us, you make a difference. “We are Kiruna,” we often say. We are the healthcare workers who hold Grandma’s hand and the teacher who helps little brother read his first words. We are the childcare provider who helps a child grow every day and the social worker who does whatever it takes to change lives. We’re the personal assistant who gives freedom and the librarian who brings literature to life. We’re the home care workers who drive to the villages in snowstorms and under the midnight sun to be there for others. We are hundreds of skills, thousands of people, and generations of experience that together provide security, care, inspiration, education, save lives, think innovatively, transform cities, stand up for one another, and look after people—with pride and compassion. From the mountains to the city. Today and tomorrow, for a vibrant Kiruna. There’s something beautiful about that. Would you also like to work for life, people, and the future in the Municipality of Kiruna? Do you want to create value and make a real difference for what matters most?
The Social Services Department’s mission is to meet people’s need for security. The department works to ensure that the municipality’s residents receive social care in various forms, with a special responsibility to safeguard the needs and interests of vulnerable groups. We constantly strive for high quality that benefits the recipients of our services.

JOB DUTIES
The role of a nursing assistant involves assisting service users according to their individual needs in areas such as personal care, mealtimes, mobility, activities, and more. An important part of the job is to support service users’ independence. This means providing them with support and encouraging them to continue doing what they are capable of doing on their own.
We place great emphasis on the role of the primary caregiver and base our work on putting the individual’s best interests first. Our goal is for service users to experience dignity and well-being to the greatest extent possible.
You’ll join a pleasant workplace with competent and skilled colleagues, where you’ll have the opportunity to grow and help shape the organization.
In 2027, we’ll be moving our operations to beautiful new facilities in the shooting range area.

We are primarily looking for candidates who have completed a high school-level healthcare and social care program. Experience in nursing is a plus.
