JOB DUTIES Working as a nursing assistant on the night alarm shift involves responding to alarms and visiting service users to meet their needs. The role entails assisting service users with personal care according to each individual’s needs. Our goal is for residents to experience dignity and well-being to the greatest extent possible. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who, first and foremost, has completed a high school-level healthcare program. You should have an interest in working in elder care and in helping to develop this field. We value experience in elder care, as well as strong teamwork skills and a professional attitude. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, which means you are flexible and confident in your professional role, and can work both independently and as part of a team. A Class B driver’s license is required, as home visits to clients are part of the job. Good computer skills and an interest in new technology are also required, as we work with night vision cameras, door alarms, and similar equipment. You will work closely with clients, so you should have a genuine interest in people, patience, and the ability to understand the client’s situation. It goes without saying that you must treat clients and their families with respect.
