JOB DUTIES As a personal assistant, you provide support and assistance in daily life to people with disabilities. The job involves creating the conditions for the service user to live their life according to their own wishes, needs, and goals. An important part of the role is to promote the service user’s independence and facilitate their ability to manage daily activities and live as independently as possible. This may involve meals, personal hygiene, and household chores, but it often also includes helping the client fulfill their role as a parent and manage their work. You help the client pursue hobbies, participate in various club activities, or pursue their studies. The job involves working with several different clients. The program operates in accordance with the fundamental principles of the LSS Act. The work includes meeting the individual’s needs for guidance and care while respecting self-determination, independence, and integrity. Your responsibilities include being attentive to clients’ individual needs, wishes, and resources. You will assist with all tasks related to the client. The role also involves documenting the clients’ condition and the interventions you perform. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who enjoys and is capable of working with people with physical, mental, and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. You must have a high school diploma in healthcare or child and recreation services with a focus on developmental disabilities, social work, or other education/experience deemed suitable by the employer. Experience working with this target group is a plus. As a person, we are looking for someone who is attentive, self-motivated, and flexible. We expect you to have a positive and professional attitude, demonstrating good judgment and an understanding that your words and actions influence the situation. We expect you to be a team player and have a strong ability to work with a diverse range of people. A Class B driver’s license is a plus.
