Kiruna 2029 is looking for a driven and versatile project manager with experience in running artistic projects with an indigenous focus. The role is both strategic and operational and requires presence on site in Kiruna. The Project Manager is organizationally under the Project Manager and is part of the program team, a key person in the journey for Kiruna European Capital of Culture 2029! We look forward to hearing from you! 1 place(s). JOB DESCRIPTION. To support, coordinate and lead artistic projects in dialogue with the program team. For the Kiruna 2029 project, be responsible for issues involving the indigenous Sami people. This includes promoting cultural cooperation with local, national and international cultural institutions, business, civil society and public actors. Participate in relevant networks for the assignment. Responsibility for the budget, funding and resource management of the projects assigned to the post. The position involves applying for external project funding at both national and international level to ensure the progress and implementation of the projects. The role involves managing dialogue with various authorities and organizations. You will represent the Kiruna Capital of Culture organization in various contexts locally, nationally and internationally. As well as ensuring that follow-up, evaluation and reporting takes place in accordance with requirements and time intervals towards the international jury. The position may involve work management without personnel responsibility for a working group as the organization expands until 2029. Kiruna 2029 is a project organization within Kiruna municipality that answers to its own board. After the project period, the project organization will be phased out. Access according to agreement, probationary period may be applied. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with a relevant academic degree in the cultural sector/project management. Proven experience in leading and managing large, complex projects, international experience is an advantage. A well-established network and experience of working in the cultural sector in Sápmi and beyond. Used to working in artistic processes. You are used to working in politically governed organizations and have a good understanding of municipal processes, structures and decision-making paths. Good knowledge of applying for and managing project funds; EU funds meritorious. You express yourself very well in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills, especially in Sámi, Meänkieli or Finnish, are an advantage. Knowledge of Kiruna's application and of what a European Capital of Culture project is about is an advantage. As a person, you are self-motivated, take initiative and build relationships easily. You are creative and solution-oriented, with a good ability to switch between strategic thinking and operational implementation. The position is located in Kiruna and work is mainly on-site. Travel may be involved. B-driving license is a requirement. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
