Kiruna 2029 is looking for a driven and versatile Project Manager for Outreach, an area of work that is about creating engagement, building capacity and inclusion. As Project Manager, you will be part of the program team and a key person in the journey of Kiruna European Capital of Culture 2029! We look forward to hearing from you! 1 place(s). JOB DESCRIPTION. The role involves both strategic and operational work. You will be responsible for developing and activating the project strategy for the Outreach workstream. One of the areas in the bid-book, the application on which the appointment is based. This involves leading and coordinating projects and work streams related to volunteering, engagement, inclusion and activation for different target groups. Experience of working with and for young people is an advantage. The scope of work includes organizer and audience development, capacity building projects. The assignment includes promoting cooperation and networks with local, national and, to some extent, international organizations, as well as business, civil society and public actors. Experience of working in close collaboration with civil society is an advantage. Responsibility for the budget, financing and resource management of the projects assigned to the post. The role involves managing dialogue with various authorities, organizations and bodies. You represent the Kiruna Capital of Culture Organization/Kiruna Municipality in various contexts locally, nationally and internationally. As well as ensuring that monitoring, evaluation and reporting is carried out in accordance with the requirements and time intervals according to the projects that fall within the scope of the assignment. You will be part of a growing organization and the project managers are organizationally under the project manager. The position may involve supervising a team without staff responsibility as the organization expands. Kiruna 2029 is a project organization within Kiruna municipality that answers to its own board. After the project period, the project organization will be phased out. Personal qualities and group dynamics will be important in the continued work of the organization. The work is periodically intense, which requires you to be able to handle a high pace, prioritize and navigate in complex communicative situations. Access according to agreement, probationary period may be applied. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a post-secondary degree in project management, or other experience deemed equivalent. You also have documented experience of working both strategically and operationally within project organizations. Practical experience in managing large or complex projects related to culture and inclusive work is an advantage. International experience in similar projects/processes is an advantage. You should have experience in applying for external project funding. A well-established network in the cultural sector, locally and nationally. As well as local knowledge is an advantage. You are used to working in politically governed organizations and have a good understanding of municipal processes, structures and decision-making paths. You express yourself very well in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills, particularly in Sámi, Meänkieli or Finnish, are an advantage. As a person, you are self-motivated, initiative-taking and relationship-building and used to working across generations and with different target groups. You are creative and solution-oriented, with a good ability to switch between strategic thinking and operational implementation. Experience from the public sector, working in northern Sweden, close to associations and civil society is seen as a plus. The position is located in Kiruna and work is mainly done on site. Travel may be involved. B-driving license is a requirement. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
