WORK TASKS As a school counselor at Högalidskolan for grades 4-9, you will work to lead and develop efforts in social and psychosocial work at the individual, group, organizational level. The work includes having a supportive function and being a resource for the work teams in their work with children's and young people's learning. You contribute to the school's work to promote health and prevent mental illness, bullying, abusive treatment, discrimination and harassment. You also help ensure that all pupils achieve their educational goals and develop socially and emotionally in an environment that promotes learning. The role of school counselor also requires you to collaborate with other student health professionals as well as activities and authorities outside the school. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a social worker degree or similar education/competence which is required for the work. It would also be an advantage if you have experience of counselor work, especially in schools. Since you often have contact with students, guardians and colleagues, you need to be able to build good relationships. You are independent, proactive, goal-oriented in your work and a good role model for our children. We also attach great importance to personal suitability and good cooperation skills.
