WORK TASKS
We are now looking for a communicator with a focus on social media and the web, who will work with the municipality's digital channels. The role includes tasks such as business intelligence, digitization work, having partial responsibility for our websites and managing our social media. You think in terms of target groups and have a feel for the language used in different channels. This is a free and creative role where you collaborate with the other communicators and the municipality's web editors to develop the best possible user experience for our target groups.
You will have social media training and preferably experience in sponsoring posts. You will primarily work strategically with social media and plan posts for the coming year, but there will also be a lot of operational work. Analyzing and interpreting data is an important part of the work, to draw conclusions that allow us to reach out better in our channels.
You are also a whiz at filming, editing and producing high-quality moving images. You have a good understanding of written, oral and visual communication.
QUALIFICATIONS
You should have an academic degree in media and communication studies or other training or experience deemed equivalent by the employer. You are able to analyze communication needs, formulate messages, plan, implement and follow up communication activities. You are a good writer, able to transform complex texts into understandable messages and have an understanding of the role of civil servants in a politically governed organization. We attach great importance to your personal qualities.
You work actively to achieve results and you are analytical and creative. To thrive with us, you are a self-starter, take initiative and have the ability to act directly and in parallel with planned work. The work requires you to be independent, able to make your own considerations and priorities and show good judgment. You are responsive to the needs of the business to succeed in the mission.
You feel confident in social contexts and can build trusting relationships. You are unpretentious and not afraid to change your mind and take a fresh approach if necessary. When faced with change and new challenges, you have the ability to see the big picture. You are solution-focused, yet responsive. A good sense of integrity and a clear focus on objectives are needed to be able to prioritize among the wishes of the business to find the best way forward.
You speak and write excellent Swedish.
Knowledge of working with the publishing tool SiteVision, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier pro, GDPR, accessibility and knowledge of AI from a communication perspective is an advantage.
Kiruna municipality's communication unit consists of five people. The unit has the overall responsibility for communication at the municipality. We work both strategically and operationally with external and internal communication. We also offer specialist support in communication issues.
