We are constantly striving for high quality that benefits the recipients of our services. 2 position(s). JOB DUTIES Due to changes in the new Social Services Act, we now need to expand our staff. We are therefore seeking two dedicated and competent social service caseworkers to investigate and handle cases in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL). In your role, you will work closely with several experienced social assistance case managers, which provides excellent opportunities for mentoring, collegial support, and collaborative problem-solving. As a social assistance case manager, you will investigate and process applications in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL). You will make decisions and follow up on interventions in accordance with the “Individual’s Needs First” (IBIC) approach. You will primarily investigate interventions for older adults, including home care services, short-term housing, specialized housing, and more. You will collaborate with other professionals within the municipality as well as with other agencies and organizations. As a social services case manager, you need to be organized, meticulous, and able to plan your work independently. You will participate in the unit’s development efforts based on the new Social Services Act. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree from the social work program, the social care program, or another post-secondary education program deemed equivalent by the employer, which includes law and the exercise of public authority. Experience in similar work is a plus. You are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish; knowledge of Finnish and Sami is desirable. You take a holistic approach to your work, and the ability to coordinate different areas is an important quality, as are commitment and a willingness to develop. An understanding of and respect for working in a politically governed organization are essential for this position. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
