JOB DESCRIPTION As a special education teacher, you’ll work closely with the principal and other school staff. The role involves collaborating with the principal to develop and design educational programs at the group, individual, and organizational levels, based on a framework of promotion, prevention, and intervention. You will support teachers in planning their instruction so that the education is accessible, inclusive, and fosters participation for all children. In addition to the regular duties of a special education teacher, the position also involves, to some extent, providing remedial instruction to students in need of support. We are a small organization, so there is room for both roles. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in special education or other training deemed equivalent by the employer. As a person, you should be a good communicator, able to build relationships, and see opportunities for growth in both children and adults. You should have the ability to analyze opportunities at the organizational, group, and individual levels. We are looking for someone with experience and the ability to collaborate with others and to flexibly address various needs within the organization.
