JOB DESCRIPTION As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to contribute to a safe, structured, and well-functioning school environment. The role is varied and includes both educational support, administrative tasks, and practical work. Job responsibilities: • Contribute to a safe and quiet learning environment by supporting students throughout the school day, for example during educational meals, during class time, and in various care situations. • Providing practical support in the classroom, such as preparing lesson materials, setting up classrooms and learning environments, and assisting with basic grading and documentation. • Managing consumables and teaching materials, including ordering, unpacking, and organizing materials. • IT-related tasks, such as preparing digital work environments, liaising with IT support, and updating software and digital tools. • Providing support in mentoring and student follow-up by reporting absences, communicating with guardians, and, when necessary, participating in efforts to address problematic school absenteeism. • Participate in efforts to provide additional accommodations and special support by assisting students in the use of assistive devices and contributing to the development of support materials and accommodations based on students’ needs. Start date to be agreed upon. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a high school diploma in child and youth services or other education that the employer deems equivalent and relevant. Experience working with children and students in groups is desirable. Experience from preschool, school, after-school programs, and/or other settings where you have led groups of children is a plus. You should have good social skills, be flexible, self-motivated, proactive, responsible, and have a positive attitude toward colleagues, students, and guardians. We expect you to have strong communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written Swedish. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
