WORK TASKS
As a controller in Kiruna municipality, you are part of the municipality's central financial control unit and work as financial support to the Social Administration. You are responsible for budget work, financial follow-up and annual accounts in close cooperation with the administration's managers and business managers.
The role includes analyzing financial outcomes and results and developing and refining models for resource allocation and follow-up. You participate in the preparation of interim reports and annual reports and present financial issues to political bodies. As a controller, you also act as a qualified support in the daily financial work within the Social Administration.
You also help to strengthen financial expertise within the administration by participating in internal training and information meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a university degree in economics and good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Your focus is preferably on financial management and you are passionate about seeing the big picture in what you do.
You are used to working independently but enjoy working with others. You look for solutions instead of problems, are analytical, outgoing and flexible.
We expect you to have good communication skills, both written and spoken, and great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as teamwork, communication and teaching skills.
Experience in the Unit4 Business World financial system is an advantage, as well as if you have worked in municipal operations or with financial management in large organizations.
