JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a committed manager for shelter operations in Kiruna municipality. The shelter has 8 beds and is for those who are in acute homelessness. The manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the operation, supporting the residents and ensuring that practical needs such as accommodation and social support are met. The role requires a commitment to supporting people out of homelessness and dealing with complex situations related to substance abuse and mental health issues. Our aim is to be able to offer emergency help to people with the long-term goal of helping everyone to have their own accommodation/home. Working hours are during the day on weekdays. We are looking for you who are passionate about working with people in an often vulnerable life situation who are in need of help and support. QUALIFICATIONS Suitable education for the position is social educator or other post-secondary education in social work that is considered suitable by the employer. Experience of similar work would be an advantage. A holistic approach and the ability to get parts to work together are important qualities, as are commitment and a willingness to develop.
