We want to lead the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. And just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who joins us on the journey, personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the world’s mining and minerals industry?

Your role

Your tasks will include conducting geological field mapping in the open-pit mines, overseeing ore sampling procedures, analysing data to identify ore grade variations, and providing guidance to operational teams for optimal ore extraction.

About the team

The mine planning department in Svappavaara is responsible for planning the extraction of ore deposits in the area, both in the short and long term. Here, we employ surveying engineers, rock mechanics engineers, geologists, and mining engineers. Much of the work is done through collaboration within the mine planning section and between different departments.
