About the business

Kiruna Malmföräðling's mission is to refine ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are souring, enrichment and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, of which four are part of the main process and the other four are support sections within quality, technology and process development, material processes and ponds and landfills. Processing for the Kiruna area is undergoing an organizational change in order to drive the transition of our industry towards a sustainable future. We need to develop our maintenance to continue to be a reliable producer of iron ore. In the future organization, we need employees and leaders who want to be involved and influence and develop our company LKAB through greater focus on our core business. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in building up the new organization and together develop the breeding process.

Your role

As a construction manager for Storstopp, you are part of a group with project managers, construction managers, project coordinators and safety coordinators who lead the planned shutdowns in the pellet and enrichment plants. You work in close collaboration with, among other things, engineers at the pellet and enrichment plants. You are responsible for the stops being carried out safely, efficiently and in a cost-effective manner. The construction manager must, in close collaboration with the project manager, independently lead construction and civil engineering work within all technical areas of the project. Holds the role of BAS-U during the project and is the project's contact person at the construction site. This includes:

  • Involved in planning and coordination regarding time, function and finances.
  • Convene and lead meetings specific to the project.
  • Provide the construction organization with the required information and documentation and check that the construction work is carried out in a systematic and structured manner.
  • Ensure that work environment work is carried out systematically and continuously at the workplace.
  • Check deliveries and completed work as well as follow up and document the work with regard to time, function and finances.

  • You are committed, outgoing, flexible and structured and a good problem solver.
  • You have good communication skills, find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships with others.
  • You are sensitive to other people's thoughts and ideas, dare to make decisions and like good order and order.
  • BAS-P/BAS-U education advantageous.
  • Work experience from project management, project work, construction projects or similar.
  • Merit with post-secondary education.
