About the business
Kiruna Malmföräðling's mission is to refine ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are souring, enrichment and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, of which four are part of the main process and the other four are support sections within quality, technology and process development, material processes and dams and landfills. Processing for the Kiruna area is undergoing an organizational change in order to drive the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. We need to develop our maintenance to continue to be a reliable producer of iron ore. In the future organization, we need managers and leaders who want to be involved and influence and develop our company LKAB through greater focus on our core business, where you as a manager work for an inclusive and relationship-oriented leadership that is based on trust. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in building up the new organization and together develop the breeding process.

Your role

As Group Manager Engineers, your main responsibility is to lead and manage a team of engineers who work overall on the processing to achieve the company's goals. You will belong to the new maintenance organization led by Section Manager Maintenance. Your responsibility:

  • Personnel and work environment responsibility for your group.

  • Responsible for building and leading an effective engineering team. This involves recruiting, hiring and developing engineers, as well as providing guidance, coaching and performance reviews. You also promote cooperation, motivation and a positive work environment within the team.

  • Establishes and manages budget in your area and follows it up and ensures efficient use of resources.

  • As Head of Engineering, you are involved in developing and implementing the technical strategy for the organization.

  • As the head of engineering, you are the link between technical teams and other departments or stakeholders. You ensure there is effective communication and collaboration to promote coordination and successful projects.

  • Ensures that maintenance work is carried out according to established quality standards and complies with applicable safety regulations.
