About the business
Kiruna Malmföräðling's mission is to refine ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are souring, enrichment and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, of which four are part of the main process and the other four are support sections within quality, technology and process development, material processes and dams and landfills. Processing for the Kiruna area is undergoing an organizational change in order to drive the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. We need to develop our maintenance to continue to be a reliable producer of iron ore. In the future organization, we need employees and leaders who want to be involved and influence and develop our company LKAB through greater focus on our core business. Your role

As Group Manager plant maintenance, you are responsible for the maintenance activities in your plant. You will belong to the new maintenance organization led by Section Manager Maintenance but be placed in the work you are responsible for. Your responsibility:

  • Personnel and work environment responsibility for PC Mechanics, PC Automation Technicians, Preparers, Maintenance Engineers (mechanical and electrical/automation) within their area of ​​work.

  • Participates in establishing and managing the maintenance budget within your area of ​​work as well as following it up and ensures an efficient use of resources.

  • Responsible for establishing and following long-term maintenance plans (Interval maintenance and Reinvestment needs) and that maintenance activities within the project area are planned and organized.

  • Responsibility for developing the competence needs of plant maintenance and leading and coaching your maintenance group within the plant area.

  • Ensures that maintenance work is carried out according to established quality standards and complies with applicable safety regulations.

  • Ensures together with the machine owner that machine equipment is clean and organized according to 5S.

  • Contributes to the overall strategic planning for the maintenance operations.

  • Collaborates and has networks with reliable contractors together with central organization within LKAB.

  • You communicate regularly with senior managers, coordinate work with other sections/groups/teams, and ensure a smooth flow of information and collaboration to achieve common goals.
