We are looking for someone who has education and experience in electricity and wants to work in a varied role. With us, you get trust and freedom to develop!
The most important job of the future
We want to lead the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. And in the same way that we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who is with us on the journey, personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the world's mining and mineral industry?
LKAB's open-pit mines are located in Svappavaara, four miles southeast of Kiruna. In these open pits, we loosen iron ore and waste rock by drilling and blasting, and then load, crush and sow the ore into a raw material for pellet production. In Svappavaara, we offer you a workplace in a family environment with strong cohesion where you can develop in your position, combined with great opportunities for outdoor life.
Svappavaara El & Automation takes care of all electricity, instruments and control systems in Svappavaara's mining field. This includes processing plants, outlying areas, properties and the open pit mines Mertainen, Leveäniemi and Gruvberget's facilities.
We are looking for a responsible and structured planner/preparer who will primarily work towards planning and preparation of work orders for other Automation technicians. You should be flexible and enjoy working both independently and collaborating with other professional groups in the area.
As a planner/preparer within Automation, you will be part of a group with other planners/preparers and automation technicians who are responsible for operation and maintenance of automation facilities (electricity and instruments). We have a strong community and short contact routes, which means influencing opportunities and participation in shaping and developing working methods and your working day.

We are leading the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. Our co-workers, a new world standard for mining, sponge iron and critical minerals will be key as we make our production carbon-free by 2045.
Global greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced significantly and within a short period of time. Tackling the climate problem will require a transformation – a significant challenge as global energy consumption is heavily linked to fossil fuels. It requires systemic changes that will take time and require a high degree of collaboration between industry and policy makers.
Based on our vision and mission, the strategy for LKAB charts the way forward towards zero carbon dioxide emissions from our own processes and products by 2045. It also secures our long-term competitiveness.
