Samhällsomvandlingen's mission is to secure land access with good foresight to secure LKAB's mining operations and growth plans. This means that around a third of Malmfälten's population, corresponding to 10,000 people, will be successively relocated. In total, approximately 5,000 homes and 700,000 square meters of living and office space will be replaced within the framework of the community transformation.

The staff works task-directed with project management, administrative support that ensures the quality of the entire unit's management system, working methods and routines and assists the unit manager in leading the business.

Your role

The project coordinator's role is to actively support the work with assigned projects within the Social Transformation, together with responsible project managers and colleagues. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the project section within the Social Transformation in Kiruna, which is the client of the project coordinators within the staff.

As a project coordinator, your role is to maintain the structure of the project. You are expected to take personal responsibility for planning and carrying out your assignment. Since each project has varying needs for support, precise tasks are drawn up in consultation with project managers before each individual project.

Your main tasks are to:

  • Ensure that established procedures, templates and checklists are used in the project
  • Manage and coordinate document management and technical documentation in the project
  • Create purchase
  • Follow-up of project finance
  • Assist in the dispatch of drawings and other essential information
  • Participate in the preparation and follow-up of request documents, procurements, contracts
  • Assist the project with coordinating resources
  • If necessary, contact stakeholders, authorities, suppliers and other professionals
  • Independently handle limited questions/assignments that arise during the course of the project

You carry out the work in a structured and responsible manner with support from your colleagues and clients. Since the service involves the processing of sensitive information, confidentiality is important.

In order to fit the role, we also see that you are analytical and systematic in your work, at the same time that you can quickly re-prioritize if necessary.

We expect you to have:

  • Secondary education
  • B driver's license
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field and knowledge/experience of working with projects are meritorious
