We are looking for a committed and creative project manager for Sovring/Enrichment in Malmberget who wants to have an important role in the work of realizing our vision of a new world standard for mining.

We want to lead the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. And in the same way that we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who is with us on the journey, personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the world's mining and mineral industry?

Your role

LKAB is facing a major changeover in the next few years with the development of CO2-free steel production, with Malmberget being the first in the changeover. At the same time, we must maintain a high and stable production with good quality in our existing facilities by, among other things, developing, improving and expanding these. This means exciting challenges that cause our project portfolio to grow, which is why we now need to strengthen the team and expand our project section with more project managers.

The role of project manager includes being responsible for carrying out various varied projects where we run everything from idea studies, renovations to the finished facility. As a project manager, you are mainly responsible for:

  • Project coordination

  • To follow up time, finances and quality in the projects

  • To participate in contract negotiations and to draw up contracts and agreements in the projects

  • To plan structured and be responsible for the results in the projects

  • To collaborate with different parts within and outside the operating organization, as well as contractors and suppliers

  • To report to the client and the project's steering groups

Our goal is to, in collaboration with others within our operating organization, create reliable facilities with a good working environment. You will be part of a safe and helpful group of production managers, technicians and engineers who together create the best conditions for the sustainable mining industry of the future. We always focus on the working environment and safety throughout the entire project process.

With the transition LKAB is facing, there are challenges in the development of new technology solutions for today's and future design of production facilities - perfect for you who are motivated by finding next-generation solutions. If this sounds interesting to you, you now have the opportunity to come and work with us!

You have this with you

We are open to candidates with different backgrounds who have an interest in being involved in developing our facilities in Malmberget. Maybe you are a project manager today, or that you have another role but are interested in working as a project manager with us.

  • Committed, outgoing, flexible and structured and a good problem solver.

  • Good communication skills and it is easy to collaborate and build good relationships with others.

  • Sensitive to other people's thoughts and ideas, a person who dares to make decisions

The following is not a requirement but is considered meritorious: Bas-P / BAS-U education, engineering degree with a technical/project focus , or other equivalent education.

Driving license (B) is a requirement for all positions at LKAB.

This is what you get

  • Motivation program that rewards success

  • Health care and study support as well as access to art association, leisure association, mountain cabins and family activities
