Would you like to help others feel more empowered and enjoy life more?
We are looking for recreation coordinators to support individuals (children, youth, and adults) who need assistance participating in recreational activities.

In Løten Municipality, we take a preventive and holistic approach to ensure that residents experience a sense of accomplishment, belonging, and good conditions for growing up and living. As a recreational contact, you will be an important part of this work. You will directly contribute to ensuring that children, youth, and adults experience community, activity, and positive feelings of mastery in their daily lives. We actively work to strengthen children’s and youth’s mental health, participation, and quality of life through early intervention and inclusive programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Help ensure that clients have a meaningful and active leisure life
  • Build relationships and create a sense of security
  • Plan and organize activities based on the client’s interests and needs
  • Participate in activities with users (e.g., outings, exercise, cultural activities, social gatherings)
  • Support and encourage participation in regular leisure activities
  • Everyone here shares responsibility for a good work environment and well-being
  • Follow up on agreements and contribute to predictability in follow-up
  • Collaborate with family members, service providers, and the municipal contact person as needed
  • Provide simple reports on completed activities (according to local procedures)
  • Participate in training, guidance, and follow-up from the service
  • Document hours worked in accordance with the service agreement

Qualifications

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • Good Norwegian language skills, both spoken and written
  • Ability to plan and carry out activities independently


Desired qualifications:

  • Experience with children, youth, or adults with various needs related to social functioning, mental health, or functional ability
  • Class B driver’s license
