Løten Physical Therapy and Manual Therapy, LLC is a well-run clinic and fitness center with two manual therapists and four physical therapists, as well as a receptionist in a 50% position.
The clinic receives a total of 5.6 in operating grants. The practice is located in attractive and well-suited premises covering 480 square meters, and significant investments have been made in exercise and rehabilitation equipment in recent years. The premises consist of six offices/treatment rooms, a relaxation room, a large exercise hall, and a smaller section that can be closed off for group training. The institute also offers access to the exercise facilities as a fitness center both during and outside regular business hours.

The patient population is diverse and reflects the municipality’s public health profile and demographics, with an increasing proportion of older adults in the population. Our physical therapists are generalists with broad expertise in areas such as geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, children and adolescents, heart and lung conditions, medical yoga, physical Pilates, and cognitive therapy. Our manual therapists also perform ultrasound diagnostics and injection therapy.  We have a strong partnership with the municipal administration and service agencies, including primary care physician offices and municipal physical and occupational therapists.

Job Responsibilities

• Active physical therapy and rehabilitation of patients of all ages—individually and in groups
• Guidance for learning and coping from a public health perspective
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and coordination, both internally and with relevant partners in the municipal health services
• Contributing to the quality improvement of the service based on national guidelines and internal development efforts

Qualifications

• Norwegian license as a physical therapist with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Expertise in geriatrics, mental health, and women’s health is considered an asset
• Strong expertise in general physical therapy, including clinical examination, functional assessment, evaluation, active treatment, and rehabilitation
• Experience with counselingand guidance work with a focus on the public health perspective
• Strong ability to work independently and in a team, run an independent practice, and organize and lead groups
• Strong ability to collaborate with other professionals, the municipality, and other stakeholders
• Contribute creative and innovative thinking to develop an effective and high-quality physical therapy service in line with the municipality’s
  guidelines in this area
• Personal suitability is emphasized

The successful candidate must become a co-owner under the terms set forth in existing agreements. The legal basis for the agreement is regulated in ASA 4313, entered into between KS and the Norwegian Physical Therapy Association.
