We are looking for an experienced HR advisor with solid expertise in labor law, collective bargaining agreements, and negotiations. You will play a key role in supporting managers, conducting local wage negotiations, and ensuring that the municipality complies with applicable laws and agreements. At the same time, you’ll be a key contributor to the municipality’s development and restructuring efforts. With us, you’ll combine strategic advising with practical implementation in an organization that’s on the cusp of several exciting development processes.
As the specialist responsible for labor relations and negotiations, you will serve as the municipality’s key advisor on labor law, collective bargaining agreements, and contractual frameworks. You will support managers on labor law issues, collaborate with employee representatives, and handle practical HR tasks. You will plan and conduct local wage negotiations, monitor changes in legislation and collective bargaining agreements, and help ensure the municipality has sound procedures and processes in the area of employer responsibilities. The position also involves responsibility for the municipality’s delegation regulations, as well as case reviews and decision-making documentation related to development, change, and restructuring processes.
We are looking for someone with a relevant college degree in HR, administration, law, or a related field. You have experience with labor law issues, contractual frameworks, and negotiations, preferably from a municipal or other public sector organization. You have a good understanding of the interaction between employers and employee representatives, and are able to translate regulations into practical solutions. You communicate well in Norwegian, both in writing and orally, and work in a structured and independent manner. Experience with delegation regulations or politically governed organizations would be an advantage.
We believe you will succeed in this role if you have a clear understanding of the role, are confident in an advisory capacity, and are able to build strong relationships. You work in a structured and meticulous manner, while also getting things done and handling complex issues effectively. You are team-oriented, inspire trust, and are committed to sharing knowledge with others. At the same time, you thrive on taking responsibility and working independently within a clear framework.
With us, you’ll have a central and visible role in the municipality’s employer functions. You’ll be a key advisor to managers and have a significant influence on the development of HR within the municipality. We offer a professionally stimulating work environment, interesting development and restructuring processes, flexible working hours, and excellent opportunities for professional development in labor law, negotiations, and organizational development. Salary is determined based on qualifications.
Employment is otherwise subject to the terms and conditions set forth in applicable laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements, including favorable pension and insurance plans.
