Our ward currently consists of 22 long-term care beds and nine short-term care beds, including one municipal emergency care bed. This diversity of patient groups provides opportunities for professional development and an exciting workday.

We have a full-time (100%) permanent position available for a nurse or social care worker, currently with day and evening shifts at Løten Helsetun. 
The work schedule is organized as an annual rotation with long shifts on weekends.

The position is available starting September 1, 2026


Job Responsibilities

  • Perform healthcare tasks in accordance with applicable laws, quality requirements, municipal guidelines, and professional best practices
  • Provide comprehensive and individualized care to clients, with a focus on coping with daily life, user participation, and strengthening resources
  • Provide health-promoting nursing and care interventions for both acutely ill and chronically ill users, as well as users with functional impairments
  • Provide practical nursing and care throughout all stages of life, with respect for the individual’s integrity, self-determination, and cultural background
  • Be responsible for medication management in accordance with applicable procedures
  • Assess, implement, and evaluate interventions in collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary team
  • Document and report in the Gerica system, both in writing and verbally
  • Provide guidance and collaborate with patients, family members, colleagues, and students
  • Actively participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute to comprehensive treatment plans
  • Contribute to development and improvement efforts, and stay professionally up to date
  • Share responsibility for a positive work environment and contribute to workplace well-being

Qualifications

  • You must hold a Norwegian license as a registered nurse or psychiatric nurse, and we ask that you include your HPR number in your application
  • Valid work and residence permits
  • Experience working in psychiatry and substance abuse, as well as with people with dementia, is an asset
  • Knowledge of daily living skills and a focus on user participation are desirable
  • Generally good ICT skills and a willingness to learn relevant professional systems; experience with the Gerica system is preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian
  • A police background check must be submitted before starting the position, and forms regarding confidentiality, tuberculosis, and MRSA must be completed upon hiring
