At the Lykkebo residential community, we currently have a full-time (100%) position available as a social care worker/environmental therapist. With us, you will primarily work with young adults with varying degrees of disability who require targeted environmental therapy and individually tailored support.

About the Lykkebo Residential Community
Lykkebo consists of six residential units, as well as two affiliated residential units in the immediate vicinity. In addition, we provide services through an outreach program. We offer a safe and inclusive living environment where the residents’ strengths, wishes, and needs are the focus. With us, you’ll be part of a dedicated, professionally competent, and positive work environment. You’ll receive thorough training and work alongside colleagues who have extensive experience and a deep understanding of the residents.

The position involves rotating shifts, including day and evening shifts. Currently, 12-hour shifts are worked every fourth weekend. The residential community has its own night shift positions.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide residents with targeted environmental therapeutic support and individually tailored services
  
• Contribute to self-reliance, independence, and a good quality of life by identifying and building on each individual’s resources and opportunities
  
• Ensure resident participation by listening to, respecting, and taking residents’ wishes and opinions as a starting point
  
• Collaborate closely with parents/relatives, guardians, colleagues, and other partners, including the specialist health service
  
• Administer and dispense medications in accordance with applicable procedures, and provide training and guidance on medication management
  
• Assume professional responsibility and help lead the professional care of individual residents
  
• Develop, implement, and evaluate goals and measures, and ensure follow-up and documentation in the medical record system
  
• Process cases and draft decisions in accordance with Chapter 9 of the Health and Care Services Act
  
• Follow up on and work in accordance with decisions and procedures under Chapter 9 of the Health and Care Services Act
  
• Work actively to prevent the use of coercion and force
  
• Document service provision in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal procedures
  
• Provide guidance and training to colleagues, new employees, apprentices, and students
  
• Actively participate in quality, development, and improvement efforts to ensure high-quality services for residents

Qualifications

You must have:

• a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field; we are preferably looking for a social care worker or registered nurse with approved licensure
• experience working with the relevant user group
• experience working in mental health
• strong written and oral communication skills in Norwegian, as well as strong ICT skills
  
• a Class B driver’s license with manual transmission

It is an advantage if you have:

• knowledge of assessment, case management, and follow-up of measures in accordance with Chapter 9 of the Health and Care Services Act
• experience with goal-oriented environmental work and applied behavior analysis
• knowledge of sign language and other alternative forms of communication
  

Before starting the position, you must submit a valid police background check, and forms regarding confidentiality and tuberculosis must be signed upon entering into the employment contract
