At Lykkebo residential community, we currently have two open permanent 20.5% weekend positions for skilled workers. With us, you’ll primarily work with young adults with varying degrees of disabilities who require targeted environmental therapy and individually tailored support.

About the Lykkebo Residential Community
Lykkebo consists of six residential units, as well as two affiliated residential units in the immediate vicinity. In addition, we provide services through an outreach program. We offer a safe and inclusive living environment where the residents’ resources, wishes, and needs are the focus. With us, you’ll be part of a dedicated, professionally skilled, and positive work environment. You’ll receive thorough training and work alongside colleagues who have extensive experience and a deep understanding of the residents.

The position is part of a rotating schedule that includes an evening shift on Friday and 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday every fourth weekend. The residential community has its own night shift positions.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide residents with targeted environmental support and necessary interventions
  
• Contribute to residents’ coping and quality of life and recognize their strengths
  
• Consult with residents. Listen to and respect the user’s opinion
  
• Collaborate with parents/relatives, colleagues, and the specialized health services
  
• Administer medications
  
• Follow up on goals and the action plan
  
• Follow procedures and decisions in accordance with Chapter 9 of the Health and Care Services Act
  
• Prevent the use of coercion and force
  
• Document in accordance with legislation and procedures
  
• Provide guidance and training to colleagues, new employees, and students
  
• Participate in quality and improvement initiatives
  
• Contribute to ensuring smooth operations and effective solutions

Qualifications

You must have:

• A vocational certificate and license as a healthcare worker or a vocational certificate as a child and youth worker
  
• Experience working with the relevant user group
  
• Strong written and oral communication skills in Norwegian, as well as strong ICT skills
  
• Class B driver’s license with manual transmission
  

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge of HOL Chapter 9 (use of coercion and force), goal-oriented environmental work, and behavioral analysis
• Knowledge of sign language and other forms of communication is desirable

Before starting the position, you must submit a valid police background check, and forms regarding confidentiality and tuberculosis must be signed upon entering into the employment contract
