The research subject of Operations and Maintenance Engineering conducts research and education in operational safety, asset management and risk management. The subject's research team, Industrial AI & Intelligent Asset Management, develops technologies, methodologies and tools based on emerging technologies, such as industrial artificial intelligence (IAI) and digital technologies, for advanced analysis of complex technical systems. To strengthen the research activities and teaching competence in Industrial AI, eMaintenance and Cybersecurity, we are now looking for a Senior Lecturer. Duties and responsibilities Conduct research activities within the framework of Intelligent Asset Management multifunctional Li-Ion/S batteries, Prognostics and Health Management (PHM), eMaintenance and Industrial AI. Assist teaching, focusing on battery lifecycle management, Intelligent Asset Management, Maintenance, Industrial AI, eMaintenance and Digital Twin, among others. Publish research results in scientific journals and conferences. Implement and participate in research projects on battery lifecycle management, industrial AI, eMaintenance and digital twins. Working in the Battery LAB and eMaintenance LAB. Contribute to the further development of the 'AI Factory' technology platform. Contribution to the organization of the subject's International Congress on Industrial AI and eMaintenance. Support to the researchers and PhD students in the research team. Implementation and participation in various research projects with a particular focus on battery lifecycle management, Engineering Asset Management and Industrial AI, among others. Development and design of applications and end-to-end demonstrators. Integration of technologies into AI Factory's edge/fog/cloud platform. Development of software for AI Factory's various services Eligibility To qualify for the position of Associate Senior Lecturer, the applicant must - have a doctoral degree, or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a doctoral degree Priority should be given to those who have completed a doctoral degree within five years of the application deadline. However, those who have completed a doctoral degree or have achieved equivalent competence earlier may also be considered if there are special reasons. Special reasons are defined as leave due to illness, parental leave or other similar circumstances. Assessment criteria The following assessment criteria apply to the post: - Scientific excellence - Other assessment criteria Other assessment criteria (weighted equally) - Expertise in Li-Ion/S battery lifecycle management, Engineering Asset Management, Industrial AI and eMaintenance - Expertise in cloud computing - Proven experience in designing research proposals in close collaboration with industrial partners - Experience in teaching and course development at university level - Extensive knowledge in systems engineering - Extensive knowledge of software engineering - Extensive knowledge of Python - Extensive knowledge of software development in a cloud environment, e.g. Azure - Ability to interact with the surrounding community - Ability to obtain external research and development funding - Experience in attracting research funding from national and international research agencies - Ability to communicate research and development work - Ability to teach in Swedish and/or English - PhD in operations and maintenance engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent - Experience in knowledge transfer between university and industry. - Experience of development in an integrated cloud and IoT environment. - Experience in developing methods, technologies and tools aimed at battery life cycle management, technical asset management, operation and maintenance in industrial contexts. Most of the staff of the Operations and Maintenance Engineering subject are currently male, therefore we welcome female applicants. Duration of employment The period of employment for this post is four years. Probationary period to Senior Lecturer The purpose of the employment is to give the teacher the opportunity to develop his/her independence as a researcher and to gain merit both scientifically and pedagogically in order to meet the requirements for eligibility for employment as a senior lecturer. An Associate Senior Lecturer shall, upon application, be promoted to Senior Lecturer and an appointment until further notice if he/she is qualified for an appointment as Senior Lecturer, and is deemed suitable for such an appointment on the basis of the assessment criteria set out below. The assessment requires that the associate senior lecturer has completed a course in higher education pedagogy equivalent to 7.5 credits or has acquired equivalent knowledge in some other way. During the period of employment, the associate senior lecturer must also have contributed independently, to a considerable extent and with high quality, to the university's research and demonstrated good teaching skills.
