We are more than 1,800 employees and have nearly 21,600 students.We are looking for a coordinator for the CAMM - Center of Advanced Mining and Metallurgy at Luleå University of Technology, a research cluster and center of excellence that combines the strategic research area for sustainable use of mineral raw materials (CAMM-SFO) with a multidisciplinary initiative to reduce Europe's dependence on imported critical and strategic raw materials (CAMM-CRM). CAMM is funded by the Swedish government and aims to strengthen collaboration between academia, industry and national and international initiatives. Today, CAMM consists of more than 50 LTU researchers conducting research along the entire mining value chain: exploration, mining, mineral processing, metallurgical extraction and environmental aspects. As a coordinator, you will contribute to the activities of the whole CAMM by
- Coordinating the cluster's dissemination and presentation of information via the CAMM website, advertising campaigns and newsletters,
- Coordinating and regularly updating CAMM's social media representation.
- Plan and organize CAMM activities such as conferences, workshops and seminars with different stakeholders as well as CAMM's participation in external conferences, exhibitions and fairs.
- Contribute to the preparation of CAMM reports and annual activity reports and editing of popular publications.
Other tasks may also be involved and the content and conditions of employment may change over time.
Qualifications
- University degree in public relations, linguistics, journalism or equivalent.
- Ability to plan and organize work independently and communication skills from experience in similar role.
- Industry understanding and insight into mining and sustainability issues both in a national and international context.
- English language skills at C2-Proficiency level and ability to write high quality, targeted texts in English.
- Experience in communicating research and research results in a qualified manner with the non-scientific community.
- Proficient computer user with good ability to use various office programs as well as web applications for social media, content management systems.
Personal qualities:
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, takes great responsibility for their tasks and has an interest in developing their own routines and working methods. You have good collaboration skills and appreciate working in teams. The role involves collaboration with many different parties, and we will place great emphasis on your ability to meet our researchers, industrial partners and representatives from other research organizations, nationally and internationally.
Scope and location
The position is a permanent full-time position based in Luleå. Access according to agreement but preferably as soon as possible. The position will be located in the research subject Mineral Technology. Probationary employment may be applied.
