Asset management, operation and maintenance is a rapidly growing field of research as it is recognized as a key enabler of business performance by industry worldwide. For many industries, maintenance costs are one of the largest single cost items. Effective maintenance can generate revenue for the industry through better facility utilization and higher availability. Through well-planned maintenance, external and internal operational risks can also be controlled and minimized. Job duties As a department coordinator, you will be placed at the Department of Civil Engineering and Natural Resources in the department of operation, maintenance and acoustics. Within the department there are two center formations; JVTC (Railway Technical Center) and CIAM (Center for Intelligent Asset Management). The coordinator will assist the deputy activity manager and activity manager for the department's center formations with coordinating the activities and participate/plan the center's activities. The duties include coordinating meetings, visits, fairs and seminars as well as coordinating and arranging national and international conferences/seminars/workshops and assisting in the production of marketing materials as well as being responsible for the centre's website. The coordinator will also assist with activities in student recruitment and education administration. The coordinator will work practically in coordinating, implementing and following up activities within various research projects. Qualifications For the position, education at university level or equivalent is required. We assume that you have a few years of relevant work experience with coordination as your main task. We would like for you to have experience working with administration and marketing. We are looking for someone who is easy to collaborate with, flexible and enterprising, easy to make contacts and take initiative. We also place great value on the ability to work independently, as well as planning and organizational skills. As we work in both Swedish and English, you need to have a good command of these languages, both spoken and written.
