Luleå University of Technology is now looking for a committed assistant project manager for the exciting development project Future Campus Luleå. Together with our landlord Akademiska Hus, we create modern and sustainable environments for education, research and collaboration. Luleå University of Technology, together with our landlord Akademiska Hus, is currently taking a holistic approach to future-proof and develop the entire campus in Luleå with modern and sustainable environments for education, research and collaboration. We are now looking for an assistant project manager who will support the project managers and the university director in planning, organizing and coordinating various activities within the Future Campus Luleå project. We work closely with our researchers, teachers, operational support and students to ensure that our new campus gives LTU the best possible conditions. The role As an assistant project manager, you will have an important key role in this major transition. Several blocks on the university campus will be built and renewed with new exciting lab environments, office environments and inspiring student and learning environments. In the role, you are responsible for ensuring smooth communication and that all relevant information reaches the right people, both internally and externally. This means, among other things, that you organize and participate in project meetings, relieve the project management, handle administration, minutes, record keeping and lead parts of the project independently. You will work in close collaboration with the project team and the University Director and you will report directly to the Project Manager. Qualifications The role of Deputy Project Manager requires: - Post-secondary education of at least two years - Several years of experience in the role of project manager in the field of premises management, or equivalent competence through relevant work experience - A committed team player with an interest in project management and the desire to develop in the project - You are able to manage your own responsibilities independently - You should be able to express yourself easily in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English, and have good administrative skills - You should find it easy to cooperate and build trust both internally in your own organization and externally with other organizations. It is an advantage if you have experience of working in different roles in an academic environment. It is also an advantage if you have experience of working in contracting with complex construction/conversion projects. You need to be a person who appreciates a work situation with a high pace, hard pressure on the issues and many balls in the air at the same time.
