The research topic industrial marketing has an important role in all the university's economics courses as well as in the master's degree in industrial economics. In the coming years, we also have exciting work ahead of us as we will develop several new courses. In research, we are currently working on projects focusing on brand development, tourism and small and medium-sized enterprises, and we are constantly working on developing new project ideas. In order to support our research and teaching in the long term, we are now looking for a PhD student who wants to work with creative and analytical problem solving, often in collaboration with organizations and companies. Project description You will work with the project "Digitalisation 2030", which is connected to the Center for Distance Bridging Technology. In the project, you will work directly with SMEs in northern Sweden to help drive their growth through advanced digital technologies, including Cloud, Edge and IoT. The aim is to understand the companies' usage patterns and collaboration needs to support the use of technology. Through your work in the research project, you can contribute to strengthening small and medium-sized companies and gain unique insights into challenges and opportunities at the forefront of technological innovation. Job duties A doctoral position involves both theoretical and practical work. You learn to run long-term and challenging projects, from problem formulation to final reporting. The doctoral student is trained in scientific work in the form of publication of scientific articles in journals and presentations at international conferences. A PhD student also takes courses at postgraduate level. In addition, you can try your hand at the teaching role by teaching some of the courses given in the economics programs or industrial economics. You will be part of a group of researchers, teachers and PhD students in industrial marketing. As part of the team, you have the opportunity to influence the subject's operations and participate in development work. Qualifications Basic eligibility for studies at doctoral level means a completed degree at advanced level with completed course requirements of at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 higher education credits at advanced level. When selecting candidates, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities, your ability and potential to conduct research, as well as interest and potential to teach. You who apply for the position must be thorough, analytical, and have good initiative and communication skills. It is important that you can cooperate in a team but also work independently.
