The department conducts research and postgraduate education in the subjects of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing and psychology. We are now looking for a PhD student in nursing. Subject description Nursing focuses on areas that aim to improve human health, prevent illness and disease, restore and maintain health, alleviate suffering and protect human integrity and dignity. Key areas are human and health, environment and nursing action and processes related to these areas. Project description The project is based on a health promotion approach where health is not only seen as the absence of disease, but as a condition that can be strengthened by protective and health-enhancing factors. The starting point is a nursing perspective where people's resources, life situation and relationship to their environment are at the center. A particular focus is to study the importance of nature as a resource in health promotion work. Through age- and situation-adapted interventions, the project examines how individuals' ability to take control of their own health can be strengthened. The project is based on a holistic view of the human being and includes both preventive measures to prevent disease and interventions aimed at alleviating the effects of existing disease. At the same time, the project takes a life-span perspective, taking into account the specific needs and circumstances of different age groups. The aim is to promote health throughout life - from childhood and youth to adulthood and old age. We are therefore looking for a PhD student in nursing with an interest in research on health promotion, the interaction between humans and the environment and the development of health through different life stages.
