Luleå University of Technology is expanding its research environment in advanced battery technology. Through RECAT - Research Center for Advanced Battery Technology, we are building a unique academic and industrial ecosystem to transform the entire battery value chain, from active materials to cell manufacturing and development. We are now looking for an Executive Director to lead and develop RECAT, which also includes being involved in further developing the entire national innovation system of which RECAT is part. The Executive Director's task includes representing RECAT in national programs, developing European collaborations through various European project funding instruments, and where relevant, developing other international collaborations. The manager is also active in initiating and building research and development projects in collaboration with community organizations, battery industry, other industry and universities. This involves contacts and dialog with funders, industry and academia primarily regionally but also nationally and internationally. As part of RECAT, you will collaborate with top international universities, leading industry partners and pioneering European initiatives. You will help shape the next generation of digitalized, sustainable battery production and train future talents at the heart of Europe's green industrial transformation. Qualifications For this position, it is a requirement that you have a PhD in a field relevant to RECAT's activities. You should have an undergraduate degree and experience in project management or operations management in a related field. To be suitable for the role of Executive Director, you are expected to be a driven leader with the ability to inspire and develop others. You are curious, strategic and motivating - with the ability to analyze risks and opportunities. You will work well with people from industry, academia, funders and government.
