Project description We are now looking for one or more first-year research engineers for the economics subject who want to contribute to our research. We often have projects with a focus on socio-economic aspects of marine and water environment issues as well as projects with a focus on regional economic development issues. The research in the various subjects within the department of social sciences, which includes national economics, focuses on various social scientific aspects within the environment and natural resources area. Within the department, both interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary projects are conducted where researchers from national economics work together with researchers in the department's other subjects, but also with other researchers within and outside the university. We also strive to have a clear international stamp on our research. Job duties As a first research engineer, you are expected to support ongoing research projects in the subject through, for example, literature reviews, analyses, work with datasets and data management. Also support with logistics around travel and workshops, work with developing research applications and project budgets. The tasks also include participation in the subject's basic education, mainly work with group exercises, seminars and correction of assignments and exams. Qualifications As an applicant, you must have at least a bachelor's degree in economics or equivalent. You must be analytical, used to working independently and sometimes under time pressure. You must also be able to write and speak Swedish fluently. Higher degree, experience in energy, natural resource and environmental economics, from advanced level studies as well as from research or other work, good knowledge of English, experience in writing reports for example for authorities and previous work experience as a research engineer, research assistant are meritorious or similar. Information The scope of the position is 12 months full-time with appointment as soon as possible or by agreement, with the possibility of extension. Location Luleå.
