The internal audit at Luleå University of Technology is an independent function that has the university board's task of independently reviewing and assessing the internal governance and control within the university. The head of internal audit reports to the university board and is administratively placed at the rector's function. Job duties The internal audit's task is to contribute to the university achieving its goals by assisting with review and advice. The assignment includes submitting proposals for improvements to processes for internal governance and control in order to ensure that the business is conducted in an efficient, effective and safe manner. The internal audit works in a consultative and forward-looking manner. The University Board establishes an annual audit plan following a proposal by the head of internal audit. The work places great demands on establishing good cooperation with university management and the parts to be reviewed with independence and integrity. The assignment provides a unique insight into the university's organization and operations. The work involves many contacts within the organization and extends across all operational areas. Qualifications We are looking for you who have an academic degree in economics, social sciences, law or equivalent. You must have qualified experience in audit and or investigation work. Experience from a university/college or other public activity is meritorious, as is internal or external auditor's certification. You have good analytical skills and can easily see connections from a holistic perspective. You are independent, communicative, find it easy to make new contacts and express yourself well in speech and writing. We assume that you have good knowledge of Swedish and English. As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, courageous and responsive. You have high integrity and can act independently. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability.
