Every semester, Luleå University of Technology's European Office offers an internship in Brussels for students at LTU. The internship provides a unique opportunity to gain insight into EU work and its impact on research and innovation. We are located in the heart of the EU, close to the Union's institutions and a large number of other actors with offices in Brussels. LTU's European Office is a small business that works mainly with issues related to research, innovation and strategic influence in areas important to LTU. What does the internship mean? As an intern, you get great opportunities to contribute to the business. You will work with: - gathering knowledge and reporting from EU institutions and other stakeholders - Participating in networking meetings, seminars and conferences in Brussels - Support in the organization of events - Strategic communication, such as newsletters and social media The aim is for you to gain a better understanding of the work of the EU and its impact on research and higher education. Who can apply? We are looking for people who: - Are a student at one of our Swedish universities and can count the internship towards your education. - Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and oral. - Have a keen interest in EU affairs and an understanding of the EU decision-making process. - Be a citizen of one of the EU Member States (formal requirement). Conditions and practical details - The traineeship period is from January 19 to June 5, 2026. - The traineeship is unpaid, which means that you will need your own funding, for example through study grants or scholarships (e.g. Erasmus+). - Accommodation will be arranged by the trainee, but we can provide tips on accommodation options.
