
Associate Senior Lecturer in Fire Engineering with specialization in fire safety in buildings and structures and materials is part of the Division of Building Construction and Fire. The division is in turn part of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering (SBN). In order to strengthen the research activities and teaching competence in fire engineering, we are now looking for an assistant professor.
Description
Fire Engineering includes research on technologies and processes relevant to fires and explosions, as well as related research on risk management and societal safety.
Duties
As an Assistant Professor, you will contribute to the development of research activities in the subject of Fire Engineering. The work will focus on the development of new approaches to achieve fire safety in various combustible materials commonly used in the building sector (e.g. wood, plastics, composites, fiber-based materials and textiles, insulation foams, intumescent coatings, etc. You will mainly contribute to the development of research by conducting research, writing proposals, and publishing research results. You will also participate in teaching within the fire engineering program by participating as a teacher in fire-related courses as well as supervising degree projects and assisting in the supervision of doctoral students.QualificationsTo meet the requirements for employment as an associate senior lecturer, applicants must
