The Division of Computer Science at the Department of Systems and Space Engineering at Luleå University of Technology is looking for a Senior Lecturer in Computer Graphics for Games and Film, with placement at the research subject Distributed Computer Systems and within the main field of Media Technology. You will work within a driven team that conducts education in computer game development and visual effects for film, such as the bachelor's program Computer Graphics for Games and Film. The position is located in Skellefteå, but teaching can also take place in Luleå. Subject description Distributed computing encompasses computer systems and mobile networks that enable mobility, ambience, security and interactivity of computers, data, software and users. Duties and responsibilities The tasks will mainly consist of teaching Computer Graphics for games and movies. You will develop and participate in teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and research level. The tasks also include participation in research and development work. The applicant is also expected to actively participate in institutional work, in program and course development and to follow the development and research development in the research subject distributed computer systems and in the main field of media technology towards computer graphics for games and film. The position includes responsibility for and active participation in collaboration with the surrounding community. Qualifications Qualified to be employed as a lecturer are those who: - A university degree of at least 180 credits or equivalent - Demonstrated teaching skills - Demonstrated artistic skills relevant to the program - Have practical experience of game and/or VFX production as a CG and/or VFX artist - Completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 7.5 credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge Information about the position The position is a permanent position on a full-time basis (100%) and with location Skellefteå.
