About the service We are now looking for a number of library assistants with an hourly wage for our university library in Luleå with the task of keeping the library open evenings Monday - Thursday and daytime on Saturdays and Sundays during the semester. Duties include helping visitors with their questions, showing the self-help area, being visible and available in the premises. Important tasks are also to keep the room tidy, set up and pick up books on shelves, etc. We are looking for you who can work from autumn 2024. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a student at Luleå University of Technology, alternatively studying library and information science at another university. It is important that you have a good command of the Swedish language and can communicate well in English. We attach great importance to personal suitability and are looking for you who take great responsibility for your tasks, have a good attitude and are thorough. You are easy to collaborate with but also have the ability to work independently. Scope and location Hourly employment if needed during the semester, usually 4–6 hours/week, according to the schedule at the university library in Luleå. There is some flexibility in the schedule to make it easier to combine work with studies. Hourly wage/remuneration SEK 130/hour. In addition to hourly compensation, holiday compensation is paid in accordance with the Holiday Act.
