We are looking for two students to work with image annotation within a research project developing AI models to analyze electrical and safety drawings. The work involves marking up objects in PDF drawings and creating training data for machine learning. The project is in collaboration with industrial partners and offers an opportunity to gain experience in practical AI work.
Work tasks
The work consists of annotating PDF drawings by marking objects with bounding boxes in an annotation tool.
At least 50 PDF files will be annotated during the period.
Instructions and guidance will be provided at the beginning of the project.
Skills and experience
Requirements:
- You must be enrolled as a student at the University.
- You should be able to work carefully and independently.
- Good computer skills are a requirement.
- Swedish-speaking and English-speaking
Meritorious:
- Experience in image processing, AI or annotation is an advantage.
Terms and conditions
Employment as a lecturer is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 5. Only those who have been admitted to first- or second-cycle education may be employed as a lecturer (HF Chapter 5 §10).
Hourly wage/compensation
For all assignments, you will receive an hourly wage and valuable work experience for your CV.
Level 1: SEK 156/hour (equivalent to approximately SEK 25 700/month for full-time work).
Information about the position
The position is 50% of full-time from January 12, 2026 to February 11, 2026, or as agreed. The place of employment is Luleå. Work can be done remotely.
