Hello! Are you interested in working as a payroll administrator in an exciting and changing environment? Then you can be the one we are looking for.
The HR department consists of 20 committed and competent individuals who are jointly responsible for the strategic and operational HR work within the university and provide professional and qualified support in the HR and salary areas. We are now looking for a replacement for the payroll group, which consists of five people, as one of our payroll officers retires.
What the job entails
In your role as a payroll administrator, you work with ongoing payroll administration and other tasks within the payroll area, such as questions about business trips, pensions and output. As a salary administrator, you have knowledge of salary and calculation issues and how these arise, are regulated and change in law and agreements. You will handle matters in the PA/payroll system Primula and ensure that they are complete and comply with current agreements. The role also includes some system administration as well as development and support of the system.
Work with regulations and systems around business trips in the form of support for travel bill reviewers and managers is also an important area within payroll.
The work includes keeping yourself up to date and disseminating information on salary-related issues, for example via internal training courses, intranets and personal contacts.
As the role is broad, it is important that you have the ability to prioritise, work efficiently and in a structured manner. You have a high school diploma, but it is advantageous if you have post-secondary education in payroll or other education that the employer deems relevant to the position.
You are a familiar user of computer and IT support and can easily take on new systems.
You have experience in independent payroll work and you are used to interpreting and applying laws and agreements in the payroll area. You find it easy to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
It is advantageous if you have experience of qualified paid work in the public sector.

We are looking for a payroll administrator for permanent full-time employment based in Luleå. Probationary employment may be applied.
