The Department of Health, Education and Technology provides education at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level. The department provides education for nurses, radiology nurses, several programs for specialist nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists and bachelor's degrees in health guidance and psychology. The department conducts research and postgraduate education in the subjects of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing and psychology. We are now looking for a PhD student in nursing. Subject description Nursing focuses on areas that aim to improve human health, prevent illness and disease, restore and maintain health, alleviate suffering and protect human integrity and dignity. Key areas are human and health, environment and nursing action and processes related to these areas. Project description Specialist nursing students' opportunities to learn and implement the ability to identify, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in patients in acute care can pose challenges. This is because students are in a high-tech environment where they face ethical dilemmas, encounter patients with complex needs and severe medical conditions, where they may have to prioritize and make difficult decisions under supervision. Good nursing care and a high level of medical competence are required. It is also crucial that students develop critical thinking and reflection skills. There is therefore a need to explore the nursing process in relation to student learning in the specialist programs ambulance, anesthesia, intensive care and surgery. We are therefore now looking for a PhD student in nursing who is interested in working within a research project that focuses on nursing and learning for specialist nursing students with a focus on ambulance, anesthesia, intensive care and / or surgical nursing. Duties and responsibilities A PhD position involves both theoretical and practical work. As a PhD student, you will be trained in scientific work in the form of publishing scientific articles in journals and at national and international conferences. You will take compulsory and optional doctoral courses, totaling at least 60 credits. In addition, you will work with teaching and supervision. Qualifications You are qualified to apply for this position if you have basic eligibility with a second-cycle degree, completed course requirements of at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 higher education credits at the second-cycle level. In addition to the requirement for basic eligibility, admission to doctoral education in nursing requires at least a master's degree in the subject of nursing. Degrees in other related subjects may be considered as special qualifications. You must have good collaboration skills and good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English. You must be a nurse with specialist training in ambulance, anesthesia and / or intensive care. Previous experience of teaching, supervision and examination for nursing and specialist nursing students is an advantage.
